SPB launches Independence Brew

Commemorating Papua New Guinea’s 30th Independence Anniversary, SP Brewery launched its “Independence Brew” on 11th August at the SPB Brewkettle.

SPB’s General Manager Mr Nigel Yeo, in launching the Independence Brew, said the Independence Brew is expected to “reinforce the strong sense of patriotism among Papua New Guineans and give them all a beer to celebrate this milestone in our country’s development.”

The Independence Brew comes in an attractive 6-pack and is available for only a limited period of time at all bottle shops. It is bottled in the familiar stubby bottle.

“The alcohol content is a bit higher to 4.8% and the special feature of this brew is the addition of our very own Highlands Honey from Goroka,” said the new Technical Manager Mr Daniel Khaw when describing the characteristics of this brew.

The packaging of the Independence Brew incorporates the 30th Anniversary logo. SP Brewery as a major sponsor of the PNG Events Council, was able to use the logo with its contribution of K50,000 which was presented on the same occasion for the 30th Anniversary Celebration.
