HOTEL STAFF ATTEND RESPONSIBLE SERVING TRAINING
Staff from the Crowne Plaza in Port Moresby recently attended the responsible serving of alcohol training.
The Responsible Serving of Alcohol Training is one of SP Brewery’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities aimed at informing servers to be responsible when serving alcohol to their patrons in licensed outlets. It also discourages the serving of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 and drunken or disorderly persons and how to deal with such behavior in an appropriate manner.
Crowne Plaza is the first to receive this training for 2014 but in the previous year, SP Brewery has conducted similar trainings at the Gateway Hotel, Weigh Inn Hotel, Grand Papua Hotel, Lamana Hotel and Shady Rest Hotel.
The training at the Crowne Plaza Hotel was attended by more than 20 staff from the hotel’s various departments. It was conducted by then SP Brewery’s Business Relations Manager Kola Geri.
