SP Brewery through is South Pacific Export Lager brand announced its continued sponsorship with a further AUD $152,250.00 as cash prize money.

SPB’s Managing Director made the announcement in a recent ceremony held at its Brewkettle in Port Moresby.

Mr Joyce said SPB has been involved in last 7 consecutive years and has witnessed the positive development of Golf, as our partnership with the Golf Association progresses in 2015.

“Under our premium brand South Pacific Export Lager, this prestigious event not only offers lucrative cash prizes for the golfing professionals but also to share the experience with our great product,” said Mr Joyce.

Mr Joyce urged traditional sponsors as well as interested corporate companies to come forward and stand behind a prominent sporting event that promotes Papua New Guinea.

Echoing Mr Joyce’s comments, Ministers for Sports & 2015 Pacific Games Justin Tkatchenko said this is a fantastic event taking golf to the next level.

“I must commend SP Brewery for backing sports for a long time now like the Hunters, Rugby 7’s and Golf.”

Minister Tkatchenko also shared that as part of gearing up for the 2015 Pacific Games, he would ensure that proper fencing is erected around the golf course.

“Golf is an elite sport and I am aware that there is a junior development program in place to ensure that we can produce as many golfers as possible. I must say we have a wonderful course and beautiful gardens and I will ensure that we fix the fences.

The Golf Open committee led by the Tournament Director Andy Stocks also shared the Sponsor’s compendium.  The event will be staged at the Royal Port Moresby Golf club from the 29th April to 3rd May 2015.
