SP Brewery made headways again, this time in the Public sector with the funding of scholarships to train public servants in the country.

SP Brewery Managing Director Stan Joyce announced the K200,000.00 recently when he witnessed the MOA signing between the Department of Personnel Management and the SP Foundation.

An ecstatic DPM Secretary John Kali commended the Brewery for this partnership, stating that this is the first time a PNG company has stepped forward to assist the public service with much needed training.

“This is a timely support because we will be able to tailor-make and customize a lot of our programmes. We can support public servants with skills and competence to be able to get into the core pace and frontline in service delivery.”

The signing also coincided with the formal announcement of the SP Foundation, with its Chairman Bart Philemon responsible in ensuring that the public servant scholarships is rolled out.

Other SP Foundation Directors include: John Kali, Dr Vele Pat Ila’ava (Secretary for Department of Agriculture & Livestock), Mr. Henry Hennry (prominent lawyer) & John Nilkare (SPB Corporate Relations Manager).
