K80,000 FOR DISASTER APPEAL

SP Brewery is donating a total of K80,000 to the disaster stricken Oro and Milne Provinces to with assist disaster relief and restoration activities in the wake of the recent catastrophic floods.

In presenting a cheque to the newly formed Halivim Wantok Disaster Appeal, National Sales Manager Mr Reg Monagi said that SP Brewery is happy to assist people in these two provinces.

“We are happy with the formation of Halivim Wantok Disaster Appeal which provides avenues for corporate houses such as SP Brewery to assist these areas affected by the recent floods.”

Mr Monagi said K50,000 of the K80,000, will be directed to the Halivim Wantok Disaster Appeal  for the people of Oro Province and K30,000 will go to Milne Bay Province Government for the areas affected as well.

In receiving the cheque from SP Brewery, Anthony Smare – Executive Director thanked SP Brewery for its support.

“SP Brewery has always lived up to its social and corporate responsibility and we would like to sincerely thank the company for their support.”

Mr. Smare appealed to other corporate houses and the public at large to assist in this worthy course.
