Packaging Supervisor - Lae

We have an immediate requirement for a Packaging Supervisor – Lae, to report to the Packaging Manager – Lae.

The Packaging Supervisor will ensure the Safety agenda is implemented during the shift while managing the entire process with the aim of reaching the planned quantities and production quality. He/she will improve the key performance indicators and lead a safe working environment on the line level (machines/areas).

Main duties include:

  • Monitor and ensure all work and activities are done in line with Heineken Safety and Food safety standards, behaviours, and procedures.
  • Collect all data from the process-related activities together with the operators and senior operators.
  • Monitors the 5S, housekeeping, HACCP, and order on the line.
  • Monitor and ensure all work and activities are done in line with the quality standards, regulations, and the Heineken Rules, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Collect all data from the process together with the operators and senior operators.
  • Execute the agreed plans and strategy.
  • Provide feedback about individuals’ performance and career development, according to the Heineken procedures.
  • Monitor and support the TPM way of working.
  • Supports the implementation of improvement activities.
  • Control all packaging processes.
  • Provide support to the operators in case of problems.
  • Ensure machines are managed in the desired way (standard working condition).
  • Provides support to operators or seeks help from others.
  • Collect and process basic data and compile reports within the scope of the shift.
  • Present reports to the next level of management.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • People management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in FMCG Packaging operations / Quality of Packaging /Packaging trends and technologies / FMCG production management, etc.
  • TPM / Lean / 6 Sigma, etc.
  • Knowledge of Quality systems (GMP, HACCP, ISO).
  • Must be prepared to work 12 hr. shifts and on weekends as required.
